ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) will announce the schedule of Youth Drama Festival 2017 on March 20.

Earlier, PNCA invited entries from the interested educational institutions to submit their 2-3 copies of play for selection purpose. This year PNCA is offering prize money to the first three best productions.

   

Talking to the state-run news agency in Islamabad, an official PNCA said that more than one dozens plays were received by PNCA Repertory Theatre section which would scrutinize 8 to 10 plays for the upcoming youth drama festival.

The “Festival” will be a wonderful week of entertainment, showcasing young talent from different colleges, Universities and Youth Drama clubs from Rawalpindi and Islamabad, who will compete for the Awards.

Repertory Theatre section has been providing hundreds of youngsters with the opportunity to appear before an audience on the National Stage for many years in the Youth Drama Festival that takes place at the PNCA Auditorium.

Cash prize awards will be given to first 3 productions: first best production Rs. 100,000/-, second best production Rs. 75,000/- and third best production Rs. 50, 000/- respectively.
