Pakistan committed to following a policy of non-interference: Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan is committed to following a policy of non-interference and non-involvement in the internal affairs of other countries.    

   

In a meeting with the Commander National Guard of Bahrain Lt. General Sheikh Mohamed Bin Isa Bin Al-Khalifa in Islamabad on Wednesday, the prime minister said that peaceful and cooperative relations with neighbouring countries is part of his vision.

Sharif said that Pakistan condemns the overthrow of the legitimate government of Yemeni President Hadi by Houthis, and calls for finding a peaceful resolution of the crisis through dialogue.

The prime minister further said that Pakistan wants to enhance cooperation with Bahrain in all areas of mutual interest particularly trade, energy and defence.

On the occasion, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Isa Bin Al-Khalifa appreciated that Pakistan has always been a sincere friend of Bahrain.
