Nisar directs police to implement SC decision for vacating Constitution Avenue

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal minister for interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Monday that the verdict of the Supreme Court for vacating the constitution avenue, should be implemented in letter and spirit.

   

Earlier, Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk while hearing a petition regarding any possible extra constitutional step directed the protesting parties including the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) to vacate the constitution avenue in Islamabad.

In a high level meeting held in Islamabad to review the Supreme Court verdict for vacating the Constitution Avenue, the interior minister directed that implementation of the Supreme Court decision should be ensured.

The interior minister also directed the administration to be ready to meet any emergency situation.

The meeting considered possible return from the red zone to an alternate place.
