Nawaz Sharif vows to fight against all obstacles in way of democracy

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Wednesday that almost entire the parliament voted in favour of democratic process and we will fight against all obstacles in the way of democracy.

   

In his address on the floor of the National Assembly on Wednesday, the prime minister said that we represent 200 million people in the parliament house.

The prime minister said that I appreciate all segments of society for supporting democracy and I will never betray the confidences of the house.

Sharif said that there should be no compromise on the supremacy of the constitution and the parliament. He said that the governments comes and go but the sustainability of the democratic system should continue.
