Mushaal Mullick demands series steps to stop human violations in Kashmir, Palestine

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairperson Peace & Culture Organization (and wife of Kashmiri Hurriyat Leader and Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front Yasin Malik) Mushaal Hussein Mullick has expressed utter dissatisfaction over the focus of celebrating Human Rights day as a one-day campaign instead of taking serious substantial steps to stop the series of violations in Occupied Kashmir, Palestine and other parts of World.

In a press conference in Islamabad on December 10, Mushaal said that the world has celebrated 64 human rights day in the past after its declaration by the United Nations in 1950 but fate of Kashmiris has not changed yet. She said that the heavenly valley has turned into hell for Kashmiris due to Indian troops barbaric, inhuman, un lawful, unethical and criminal deeds.

Since the partition of the sub-continent, India is engaged in the genocide of Kashmiris in response to their demand for the fundamental right to freedom, she said.

Mushaal said that all of us know that the United Nations has passed resolutions in favour of Kashmiris but India is not ready to accept them and is trying to suppress the legitimate voices of innocent people though the echo of bullets.

Mushaal Hussein Mullick said that although Indian inhuman behavior has started since 1947 but if we anaylse the figures of killings, rape and torture microscopically since January 1989 till November 2014, there will be daunting statistics that will shake our souls and reflect the overall picture of the crimes committed by India.

According to Kashmir Media Service Report during this period 94,119 innocent people have been killed, Custodian deaths are 7,024, 106,022 structures arsoned/destroyed,127,129 civilians arrested, 22,786 women are widowed, 107,491 children orphaned, 10,129 women gang raped/molested by Indian troops. Killings are also reported during the ongoing month of December. Therefore we can say quite clarity that after the celebration of 64 human rights days Kashmiris are in a much worse condition from where they were in the past.

Besides inhuman activities India often holds elections in occupied Kashmir to substitute them with the right to self-determination and plebiscite but they are everything but elections, it is an exercise under the supervision of the Indian Gun, where a majority of people boycott such exercises.

The Chairperson Peace & Culture Organization also expressed her grave concern over the fast deteriorating condition of her ailing husband Yasin Malik since his arrest in Kerwal jail last month. She appealed to all Human Rights Organizations, the UN and Amnesty International to take notice of the situation and put pressure on India to release her ailing husband Yasin Malik from prison and provide him with Urgent medical care. She said instead of providing proper medical treatment to Yasin Malik the Indians have kept him in a cell in Anant Naag.

Mushaal further said that India has been using its political and armed designs to justify their occupation. On the one hand, they are using force to suppress the pro-freedom people and on the other hand, they are using farcical elections in occupied Kashmir to legitimize the black laws that provide complete immunity to the Indian forces and a license to kill and make Kashmiris worse than slaves.

Mushaal Hussein Mullick demanded both governments of India and Pakistan to settle the long pending Kashmir issue without any delay.

The people of Kashmir are not against friendly relations between India and Pakistan but they want that Kashmir issue should be resolved at top priority as per the aspirations of Kashmiris, she said.

The Chairperson demanded the immediate release of Yasin Malik including all other political prisoners. She also urged the government of India to return the mortal remains of Muhammad Maqbool Bhat and Muhammad Afzal Guroo.

Mushaal said that all black laws must be completely repelled in occupied Kashmir and India must to repeal all Draconian Laws enforced in Indian occupied Kashmir including Jammu Kashmir PSA 1978, Jammu Kashmir Disturbed Areas Act 1990, Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act(TADA) 1990, The Armed Forces(Jammu Kashmir) Special Powers Act 1990, Prevention of TerrorismAct (POTA) 2002, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Amendment Ordinance 2004, The National Security Act (NSA), Official Secrets Act( OSA), Criminal Procedure Code, Indian Telegraph Act and others.

Mushaal Hussein Mullick also condemned the unprovoked firing by Indian Army at the Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundries and pressed upon the International World to Honorand implement the United Nations Security Council Resolutions, particularly its human rights agencies and assist organizations and persons to utilize these agencies for better promotion and protection of human rights in Occupied Kashmir.

Kashmiris be given their right to self-determination without further delay and pushed the need to implement the pending United Nations Security Council Resolutions, she demanded.

Mushaal also demanded the complete withdrawal of Indian Forces from Indian occupied Kashmir and rejected the farcical elections in occupied Kashmir as they are always held under the gun.

The Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organization Mushaal Mullick said that if India has respect for democracy, why is it not allowing Kashmiri people to cast their votes to decide their future according to the Security Council resolutions of the United Nations.
