PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched ‘Esaar Pakhtunkhwa Programme’ for welfare of families displaced by the military operation against militant in the North Waziristan tribal region.

   

Under this Programme, each internally displaced persons (IDP) family is being given cash assistance of Rs8,000 which include Rs5,000 under Ramazan package and Rs3,000 for house hiring.

In the first phase, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa disaster management authority will provide this financial assistance to 7,000 families whose mobile SIMs have been confirmed.

The IDPs have been asked not to pay any heed to any anonymous text messages or telephone calls asking to send their particulars to get the cash assistance. They have also been directed to contact PDMA help line on telephone number 0800-80045 for any inconvenience.
