ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Lt General Abdul Qadir Baloch on Wednesday said that 70 percent of internally displaced persons (IDPs) of the Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) had returned to their homes and the remaining would be sent back by November.

In his statement at the National Assembly in Islamabad on Wednesday, Abdul Qadir Baloch said that majority of the people were from North Waziristan while some more from North still had to go back and the procedure would be completed by the November 2016.

The minister said that FATA did not deserve to be a separate province, adding that on the desire of the people and leadership of the area the matter will be considered.
